Welcome to the home of The Italian Olive Oil Company
Here at The Italian Olive Oil Company, we offer exclusive single estate Italian olive oil from only the finest Italian olive groves, where the olives are grown and the oil produced and bottled at source, to ensure you the finest and purest extra virgin olive oil.
2025/26 Harvest Information
Overall, the 2025/26 harvest across Italy was smaller than that of the previous year. This reduction was largely attributable to unusually dry weather towards the end of the growing season. In certain areas of Tuscany, some olive groves experienced very early fruit drop when the olives were still small, making harvesting uneconomical. Remarkably, neighbouring groves in the same locations were unaffected, with olives reaching full maturity and producing oils of very high quality.
Regional Updates and Tasting Notes
Anfosso – Liguria
Anfosso’s harvest in 2025/26 was significantly smaller than that of 2024/25, and as a result, DOP certification was not available for this season’s oil. However, we are pleased to offer the 2024/25 harvest, which is once again available with its customary DOP status.
As always, this is a single-varietal olive oil produced exclusively from the Taggiasca olive, the predominant variety of Liguria. The oil expresses precisely the flavours and aromas one expects from this region: subtle, delicate, and beautifully balanced. These refined characteristics make it the preferred oil locally, particularly for traditional Ligurian dishes such as pesto.
Archibusacci – Lazio
From just north of Rome, Archibusacci continues to deliver a beautifully balanced oil, combining harmonious flavours with a distinctive piquant finish and layered mid-palate complexity. For the 2025/26 season, we have selected their Organic oil, which is slightly more complex than the DOP expression. The organic certification also confirms its DOP status, offering both provenance and depth of character.
Galantino – Puglia
Galantino is based in Puglia, the heel of Italy and the country’s largest olive oil–producing region. The 2025/26 quality is excellent, displaying the estate’s signature balance, with a slightly more robust finish and varied, expressive notes on the palate. The oil retains its Organic certification.
Galantino Gran Cru
The 2025/26 Gran Cru remains true to its reputation—exceptionally smooth, light, and elegant, showcasing remarkable finesse and consistency.
Casa Sola – Tuscany (Chianti)
Casa Sola, from the Chianti region of Tuscany, is as robust and characterful as ever. The oil displays classic Chianti traits: complex mid-palate flavours, gentle bitterness, and a long, lively, and piquant finish.
Overall Collection
Each oil clearly reflects the distinctive character and flavour profile of its region of origin. Together, they demonstrate the remarkable diversity of Italian olive oils and the unique expressions shaped by local terroir and tradition. Our Three Regions Collection continues to be one of our most popular offerings, representing outstanding value for oils of this quality.
Umbrian Oil Update
Last year, Sabatini represented our Umbrian selection; unfortunately, their oil was not available this season. We are actively seeking an alternative producer in Umbria who meets our stringent quality standards and hope to reintroduce an Umbrian oil in next year’s range.
